Cheers Owen and Welcome Flea 28-04-2009Slick would like to take this opportunity to wish Owen Dwyer- our bass player of 9 years, all the best. Owen has decided to call it a day, we had a lot of good times together over the years and are still good mates. All the best mate for whatever you turn your hand to in the future. Thanks mate.

Slick 46 will play their 3rd USA tour in November 2009 where we’ll be playing shows in California, Arizona and Texas, keep checking myspace and the website for show dates.

The New Record and So On 18-12-2006So were nearing the end of the year and weve got all the drum, bass and guitar tracks down. So early in the new year were gonna head back into Jets Studios with Dan and lay down the vocals and get the record finished. We dont have a title for the record or when its gonna be released but it'll be a few months on early next year.
As for everything else, were looking into a few tours interstate and overseas in 2007, as well as getting the record out and our usual shows around town. We also have our first show for the new year which is Janruary 19th at The Arthouse with Bulldog Spirit plus more.
And last but least we want to thank everyone through the year that turned up to shows and sang along, brought some of our merch and had a good time. The people and bands who played shows with us and the shows that they put us on the bill with them. Enjoy the break and we'll see you in the new year.
Cheers Slick 46 |

Brisbane Cancelled 23-10-2006
With regret we have to say that the two shows that were planned to happen in Brisbane on the 4th and 5th of November are cancelled. While at rehersal yesterday we had to make this decision.
Since early September we've had the idea of making up the shows that were canned earlier this year. We were approached with the offer of having someone from qld to organise the venues and band lineups for these two shows. But now we are two weeks away from the dates and we still have not been told whether the venues are confirmed and we have not heard any mention of any lineups put together. We have not sat aside and done nothing to try to help organise this, but when phone calls and emails are never answered or returned what can be done.
So the solution is that we are gonna plan some brisbane shows ourselves. it will be in the new year and hopefully on the back of a new record.
|
| |
Demos For New Record 21-10-2006Last sunday we out to Jets Studios with Dan and belted out some demos for our next record. We got down 14 tracks so this one is gonna be a proper album not another EP.
